A Keynote Speaker That Inspires with Humor and Candor
Are you planning an event and looking for guest speakers? Well then. I’m absolutely delighted that you’re here! I believe that the saddest thing in the world is forgotten potential. Let’s make your next conference amazing by reminding your audience that they hold the key to their own success.
How do you define success? There are as many answers to that question as there are humans on this planet. And when we pay attention to what matters most to us as individuals – our dreams, goals, and aspirations – everything else false into place because we’re driven by a sense of purpose.
From Struggling, Single Mother to Author and Keynote Speaker
You hear people talk about their A-HA moment. How they wanted a change in their lives but didn’t know how to make it happen. And then all of a sudden, they’re struck with an A-HA! A dawning.
I want to share a little about my A-HA moment with you. It was a time in my life when I had to make a decision and let me tell you, I was scared. I felt alone. In fact, I WAS alone.
At the time, I was 24 years old and living with my two young daughters and their father. From the outside, we looked like a young, happy family. But if you looked closer, happiness barely touched the edges of our supposed “family life”.
Eventually it got to a point where I had to make a bold decision, which led to my single mother status. Without financial or parental support from my daughters’ father (whom we’ll call Mr. What-Was-I-Thinking), life really was a struggle.
Today, I’m grateful for that decision. While life was not easy, I learned that for anything I wanted, there’s only one person that can make it happen and that person is me. I also learned that there’s only one person that can stand in my way: also me.
I’m delighted to say that today I lead a successful life. And I share this without guilt or shame. Success is about being happy. And happiness is an inside job.
Let’s remind your audience of this!
